Our Mission

Pre-professional opportunities for high school students are often limited to in-person mentorships and selective summer programs. Many students without direct access to an academic institution are often disadvantaged and unable to build connections with academic faculty, acquire vocational experience, and pursue extracurricular studies.

The Copula Program matches motivated and capable high school students throughout the United States with experienced mentors in both STEM and the humanities. These connections provide a stepping stone for students to obtain internships, practical experience, and professional connections that will bolster their academic careers.

With a growing need for pre-professional experience in high school, many students require meaningful connections without a cost barrier. Our goal is to help close the widening income and achievement gap, while also setting students on a path to success in whatever they hope to achieve.

Our goal is to provide all students an opportunity to pursue extracurricular studies and mentorships despite pre-existing educational inequities. Being able to explore academic interests further in high school allows students to succeed in the academic and professional world.
